Slovenia has a well-developed rail and bus network. Ljubljana railway station is the central railway center and there are regular train connections with all major Slovene towns. There are also several trains a day departing for major European cities: Munich, Vienna, Venice, Budapest and Zagreb.

The network of bus stations and stops throughout the country makes travelling by bus easy and effective. The main bus station is in Ljubljana, from where it is possible to reach almost any part of the country within a couple of hours.
